HL Tech and Tel: UK Online Safety Bill

For the latest installment of our HL Tech and Tel Tuesday series our Tech and Telecoms Sector Group Lead, Mark Brennan, interviews two of our strategic lawyers on the latest developments with the UK Online Safety Bill.

The UK Online Safety Bill (OSB) is a major piece of legislation aimed at illegal and harmful online content. Our HL Tech and Tel Tuesday series host Mark Brennan connects with Julia Marlow and Telha Arshad from our London office on why the OSB matters and what companies should be focusing now on as the bill progresses through Parliament.

“It’s not just about getting ready to comply; there is a very clear opportunity [for businesses] to engage with the government and with Ofcom (the regulator) about the future of the regime,” notes Julia.

To learn more about OSB, watch our brief video here.

Stay tuned next week for a new HL Tech and Tel Tuesday episode. To ensure you don’t miss a beat, be sure to follow Hogan Lovells and the #HLTechAndTel hashtag.
