Tackling Uncertainties: Understanding and implementing the new SCCs

We are delighted to share our next session of Tackling Uncertainties focused on understanding and implementing the new Standard Contractual Clauses, which took place on Tuesday, June 29, 2021. This post contains a recording of the webinar as well as the presentation slides.

On June 4, the European Commission published its final Standard Contractual Clauses (“SCCs”) for cross border transfers from the EU, its first update to the SCCs in over a decade.  Organizations transferring GDPR-covered personal data outside of Europe now have 3 months to update their procurement processes for new cross-border agreements containing the SCCs, and 18 months to update existing agreements.  This webinar gives a complete view of the new SCCs and its new “modular” approach, highlights the most significant changes from the last version, and provides a roadmap for steps to take next.
