Upcoming Privacy and Cybersecurity events - November

Keep up to date on latest Privacy and Cybersecurity trends by attending the events our lawyers are participating in this month. Notably, members of our global Privacy and Cybersecurity practice will be panelist speakers in sessions during the IAPP Europe Data Protection Congress 2021 event. They will discuss topics such as enforcement by EU data protection authorities, and adapting GDPR programs for use under U.S. state privacy laws. 

November 12

Eduardo Ustaran will be a panelist speaker at the CBA Access to Information and Privacy Law Symposium where he will discuss legislative developments and practical compliance issues and their potential impact on Canadian organizations operating in Europe and the U.S.

November 16 Scott Loughlin and Michelle Kisloff will be speaking at the 2021 Dallas CISO Executive Summit where they will discuss what needs to be done in the wake of a cyber-attack, and how a joint collaboration between legal and information security can help. 
 

November 17

Eduardo Ustaran will be a panelist at IAPP Europe Data Protection Congress 2021 during the session, "The new enforcement battleground: Lawful grounds for processing", where he will discuss what multiple regulatory investigations and recent steep fines by EU data protection authorities are signaling to companies.

Julian Flamant will be a panelist at IAPP Europe Data Protection Congress 2021 during the session, “Bringing Your DSAR Program to the U.S.—Practical Considerations”, where he will discuss adapting GDPR-scoped data subject rights programs for use under emerging U.S.-state privacy laws.

November 23

Eduardo Ustaran will be a speaker at Financial Times' Future of Mobility Summit 2021 where he will host the session, "Capturing the value of connectivity", and discuss efforts focused on meeting the increasing demand for infrastructure to enable intelligent and connected transport services.
