What has happened?
The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) and the Autorité de contrôle prudentiel et de résolution (ACPR) have warned the public against several websites and entities proposing investment services for crypto derivatives.
What does this mean?
Following similar previous warnings, the two regulators have updated their list of unauthorised websites offering derivative products whose underlyings include cryptoassets.
The wesbsites in question are:
- www.cryptoprofx.com
- www.interactifonline.com
- www.lh-crypto.com
- www.stscrypto.com/fr/
The AMF and the ACPR, as part of their objective to protect investors, regularly updates their blacklist of websites and firms operating without approval, which is not exhaustive.
The regulators reminded investors to check that the intermediary offering banking or financial products or services is authorised to operate in France by viewing the register of financial agents or the list of authorised or the list of authorised intermediaries in the financial investment advisor or participating investment advisor categories.
